YES, its that time, my favorite time of the year…..HALLOWEEN. A great time to dress up and look ridiculous.  Who doesn’t want to dress up like a ,super hero, food, fairies, or even cartoon characters. Last year a few of antlers crew did an Alice in wonderland theme. We had a great time getting costumes and coxing people into playing along with our theme. This year we have decided to go with a Disney princess and evil counter parts theme. All little girls want to be princesses and why not fill that childhood dream in your late 20′s.
Here is the line up for 2010:
Darci- sleeping beauty
Katie- Maleficent
Sarah- Snow White
Cole(Sarahs husband)- Gaston
Steph- Jasmine
Steph boyfriend- Jaffar
Tyler- Captain hook
Cj- prince eric
Jen(CJ’s friend)- Cinderella
Amy- Ariel
We are still working on Cinderella, Belle, the Evil Queen and Ursula so if anyone out there would like to participate please let Amy or Darci know here at the antlers. I am also making several of the costumes so if anyone is a master seamstress and would like to help let me know!
By your 20′s Halloween can loose its appeal and why not, we don’t get a day off for it. Plus finding a GOOD costume can sometimes be a pain. Well, I have decided to justify it as I am more excited now in my late 20′s about this holiday then I was at 7. In our industry it is rare that we spend Thanksgiving, Christmas, New years, Spring break, Labor day, Presidents day or 4th of July with our families. These are the busiest days in our year and a majority of the people in ski towns general work, but Halloween is a different story. #1 It is the off season, #2 we have few guest coming to visit, #3 no one has much work and #4 no one can afford to go anywhere. So why not celebrate this holiday.
Our Halloween extravaganza schedule of events:
Wednesday at Red Lion bingo, the grand prize is a fat tire beach cruiser and for the past 3 years I have been trying to win this bike. Well I blew my luck and won the grand prize this week, that being said I have a pair of 171 liberty skis for sale please call Amy.
Friday we are off to the sandbar for the Journey cover band.
Saturday we will be traveling to Samana in Vail village for their vixens and villains party, not sure if we will fit in too well, but it is worth a shot.
Sunday we are just having a small party at someones house possibly Darci’s then venturing off to the village.
If anyone has these nights free and would like to join our festivities please let us know we would love to have you along for this Spooktacular week. Below are pics from last Halloween.

I admit it. Â We here in Vail have a love/hate relationship with I-70. Â Our friends in Aspen refer to Vail as "a highway runs through it". Â Guilty as charged. Â On the other hand, they may not admit it but I know they're jealous at the same time. Â
We love the variety of friends who make the Antlers their home while here in Vail. As the official pet-friendly hotel of the Go Pro Mountain Games, we enjoyed many furry friends visiting over the weekend. Those furry friends included a skateboard
